Shannon Beasley, PhD – father, husband, professor, cook, musician, and general bad influence

I have been mesmerized by guitars and basses ever since I was 5 years old watching Jerry Reed play guitar like he was mad at it for some reason. Add in a healthy dose of southern rock, blues, and country and you should be familiar with exactly where I’m coming from on this musical journey. I like to refer to the condition as Musical Personality Disorder (a person who can’t define good music but knows it when he hears it). To me TDP is an apolitical opportunity to relax, enjoy a song from different genres or time periods, and make a few friends. One of my heroes, Hughie Thomasson, said it best, “We are the players, but you are the show.” Peace+
