I grew up in Macon, GA and started stealing my dad’s CD’s in the early 90’s. The first one I remember was a John Lee Hooker album, but I got really consumed by Eric Clapton’s UNPLUGGED album that came out around that time. During that period I was browsing through CD racks in a music store (back when people still bought music) and stumbled across an album with the same name to one of the tracks I’d loved of the Clapton album. It turns out that Layla and Other Loves Songs by Derek and the Dominos had the same lyrics, but was a whole other dimension musically. From there I was off to the races.
I cut my teeth playing and singing in church as a child and started performing at open mic’s in college. After making some connections backstage at a charity event the Prophets were born. I have a wonderful wife and little girl and I serve my community as a local pastor and city council member.
